Wooden Fencing

Close–board fencing  (non panel form) is one of the most popular fencing types we supply and erect. It is well known for its strength and stability. This type of fencing is built using vertical featheredge boards that partially overlap for privacy.

Each board is nailed to horizontal rails, sometimes called ‘arris’ rails and these are supported by notched vertical posts.

Close-board can be installed with wooden 4″x4″ pressure treated posts or concrete mortis posts.

These rustic and attractive looking fences are comprised of sawn square section vertical posts, with three or four horizontal square section rails, morticed into the posts.

Additional stud posts can be placed between the posts at the mid bay point to give the structure added support. Post and rail fences are available in pressure treated softwood or oak.

A  larch lap fence panel can be a great starting point if your looking at renewing a garden boundary.

These panels, commonly known as larch lap, overlap, and waney edge fence panels, are are available in industry standard widths of six foot and most common heights up to 6 foot.
